30 Days Wild with Spotty Otter: Join the Wild Side This June!
Posted by Spotty Otter on 19th May 2025
Every June, thousands of families take part in The Wildlife Trusts’ 30 Days Wild, a joyful celebration of everyday nature that encourages all of us to do one wild thing a day for 30 days.At Spotty Otter, we believe that wild play and outdoor adventure are the best parts of childhood. That’s why we’re proudly joining in and encouraging our community of Little Explorers to dive into the outdoors this June, whatever the weather!
Why Go Wild?
Nature has a powerful impact on children’s wellbeing, creativity, and confidence. Whether it’s a five-minute cloud-watch, spotting bugs in the garden, or jumping in puddles on a rainy day, small moments in nature make a big difference.
And let’s face it, who does wild better than kids?
What Counts as “Wild”?
The beauty of 30 Days Wild is that anything goes. You don’t need a tent or a forest—just a sense of curiosity and a little time each day to explore. Here are a few fun ways your family can take part:
Watch butterflies or bees in your garden or local park
Make a nature bracelet from fallen leaves and petals
Go on a puddle walk in your Spotty Otter splashsuit
Listen for bird calls on your way to school
Build a mini-den for bugs or woodland creatures
Collect natural colours to make a rainbow scavenger hunt
Write a wild poem or draw your favourite outdoor memory
Dress for Wild Success
Of course, with British weather being what it is, wild adventures call for wild-weather gear! From waterproof splashsuits to UV sunhats and cosy fleece layers, our Spotty Otter kit keeps Little Explorers comfy and dry, rain or shine. Because wild doesn’t wait for sunny days.
